## Overview

New York runs from Long Island’s pine barrens to the Adirondacks, and its milkweed flora spans that gradient: clasping milkweed in coastal sand, poke milkweed in northern hardwoods, common milkweed everywhere in between. Purple milkweed persists in scattered Hudson Valley remnants.
